MCV4U – February 5, 2016

I began the class today by showing the students a video from Khan Academy related to the handout I gave the students yesterday titled “MCV4U – Understanding Limits (Day 1)” (see Feb 4 blog posting for further details).  The video was about the Koch Snowflake.  I wanted to show this video to the students to further explain the concept of limits.

After showing the video, I then gave the students a handout titled “MCV4U – Limits Day 2 (blank)”.  I went over the examples from this handout on the digital projector and the students filled in the solutions as we took them up together.  Once we finished the lesson, I then told the students to work on the homework I assigned for today (Page 2 #4, 5, 6, 10 & 11 & Page 31 #13(ab), 16a).  Students are encouraged to email me if they have any questions from the homework ahead of time (abawa@office.ldcsb.on.ca).

Below you will find a copies of the handouts/worksheets that were distributed/assigned in today’s class.
