TEJ3M/TEJ4M – February 8, 2016

I began the class today by telling the students that they were to hand in the assignments they were given last Friday titled “TEJ3M & TEJ4M – Basics of Semiconductor Memory Worksheet”” (see Feb 5 blog posting for further details).

I told the students last week that I am trying to see if I can bring some old but working desktop computers into class so that we can take them apart, label the parts and then put it back together.  If there is time, we will also try to install an operating system on them and network them as well.

I told the grade 11’s (TEJ3M) that they would be working on an assignment titled “TEJ3M – Computer Basics Assignment”.  I have not assigned a due date for this assignment just yet and I told the students I would let them know by the start of class tomorrow when this assignment is due.

I told the grade 12’s (TEJ4M) that they would be working on 2 assignments titled “TEJ4M – Network Terms Matching Exercise” and “TEJ4M – Network Hardware Definitions”.  I have not assigned a due date for these assignment just yet and I told the students I would let them know by the start of class tomorrow when these assignments are due.

Below you will find a copies of the handouts/worksheets that were distributed/assigned in today’s class.
