**REMINDER #1:**** THE STUDENTS WILL BE HAVING A UNIT TEST ON WEDNESDAY MARCH 9 ON ALL OF THE CONTENT FROM FEBRUARY 18 TO MARCH 7.**

**REMINDER #2:** **THE STUDENTS WILL BE HAVING A THINKING AND INQUIRY ASSIGNMENT ON THURSDAY MARCH 10 ON THE CONTENT FROM FEBRUARY 18 TO MARCH 7.**

I began the class today by telling the students that I would be continuing with the lesson that I had started on Thur Mar 3 titled “MCV4U – Higher Order Derviatives” (there was a shortened day on Thur Mar 3 and Fri Mar 4 I was away). I told the students that I had 1 more example to complete which we were going to do at the start of class. I then did example 3 with the students using the black board and digital projector.

I then gave the students a handout titled “MCV4U – Position and Moving Using Calculus Concepts”. I was only able to go over the example 1 today with the students which was only the first page. We were unable to get to example 2 today. The students can do this example on their own for homework which is example 2 from page 101 of the textbook. This will help the students with the homework I assigned today for the students to do (Read pages 100 to 106 and do pages 107#3(a,b,d),4b,5,7,8,9,11,12). We will have to continue with this lesson tomorrow and will do some more examples related to position, velocity and acceleration.

Also, there is an example that Mrs. Marray from the other class gave her students for position, velocity and acceleration. The students can look this over as well before tomorrow’s class. Students are encouraged to email me if they have any questions from the homework ahead of time (abawa@office.ldcsb.on.ca).

Below you will find a copies of the handouts/worksheets that were distributed/assigned in today’s class.

MCV4U – Higher Order Derivatives (blank) (We still had example 3 to complete from this lesson today. Example 1 & 2 we did on Thur Mar 3.)

Example 3 from Today’s lesson (TIPS Inquiry Investigation) (This is a blank copy of the investigation I gave the students Thu Mar 3.)

Example 3 from Today’s lesson (TIPS Inquiry Investigation) (filled-in) (This is what I did with the students in class when we went through the investigation.)

MCV4U – Position and Moving Using Calculus Concepts (blank) (handout)

MCV4U – Position and Moving Using Calculus Concepts (filled-in) (We did example 1 in class today. We will have to do example 2 tomorrow in class. Students can fill out example 2 on their own by reading page 1o1 of their textbook.)

Position Velocity Acceleration Applications of Calculus (This is the presentation that Mrs. Marray made for her class on position, velocity & acceleration. The students can look over this on their own before tomorrow’s class.)
