IMPORTANT NOTICE #1: I HAD TO MOVE THE TEST TO THUR MAR 10 TO INCLUDE A FEW MORE DAYS OF MATERIAL THAT WE MISSED THIS PAST WEEK. THE STUDENTS WILL NOW BE HAVING THEIR UNIT TEST ON THUR MAR 10 ON ALL OF THE CONTENT FROM FEBRUARY 18 TO MARCH 8.
IMPORTANT NOTICE #2: I HAD TO MOVE THE THINKING ASSIGNMENT TO FRI MAR 11 TO INCLUDE A FEW MORE DAYS OF MATERIAL THAT WE MISSED THIS PAST WEEK. THE STUDENTS WILL NOW BE HAVING THEIR THINKING AND INQUIRY ASSIGNMENT ON FRI MAR 11 ON THE CONTENT FROM FEBRUARY 18 TO MARCH 8.
I began the class today by telling the students that I would be continuing with the lesson that I had started yesterday titled “MCV4U – Position and Moving Using Calculus Concepts”. I told the students that I had 1 more example to complete which we were going to do at the start of class.
I then gave the students a handout titled “MCV4U – Position and Moving Using Calculus Concepts (continued)”. I told the students that there were some things from the handout I would just be going over and that they would not have to fill anything in (I suggested they highlight important concepts). For the examples that required students to fill things in, I put it up on the digital projector and then I went over the examples using the projector and the black board. The homework I assigned for today is a repeat of yesterday’s homework because we did not finish the examples related to the homework (I assigned these yesterday – Do page 107 #3(a, b, d), 4b, 5, 7, 8, 9, 11 & 12 and Do page 110 #16 – this is new). Students are encouraged to email me if they have any questions from the homework ahead of time (abawa@).
Below you will find a copies of the handouts/worksheets that were distributed/assigned in today’s class.
MCV4U – Position and Moving Using Calculus Concepts (blank) (I was able to do example 1 from yesterday’s lesson and told the students I would do example 2 today.)
MCV4U – Position and Moving Using Calculus Concepts (filled-in) (I used the black board and digital projector to take up example 2 with the students. Example 1 we did in yesterday’s class.)
MCV4U – Position and Moving Using Calculus Concepts continued (filled-in) (I used the black board and digital projector to take up all the examples from this lesson.)
Position Velocity Acceleration Applications of Calculus (This is the presentation that Mrs. Marray made for her class on position, velocity & acceleration. Students are responsible for understanding the material from this presentation.)
