MCV4U – March 21, 2016

REMINDER:  PARENT TEACHER INTERVIEWS ARE WEDNESDAY MARCH 23 FROM 4 PM TO 7 PM.  STUDENTS ARE REMINDED TO GET AN INTERVIEW TIME BEFORE THIS DATE.  ALSO, STUDENTS ARE TO RETURN THEIR PROGRESS REPORT SLIPS SIGNED.

I began the class today by giving the students back their Unit 2 tests which they wrote on March 10 (before the break).  I told the students that I would post the answers below so they can go over their tests on their own time.

After talking to the students about their tests, I told the students that I would be doing a new lesson today on curve sketching.  I then gave the students a handout titled “MCV4U – Curve Sketching”.  I told the students that there were some things from the handout I would just be going over and that they would not have to fill anything in (I suggested they highlight important concepts).  For the examples that required students to fill things in, I put it up on the digital projector and then I went over the examples using the projector and the black board.  The homework I assigned for today (Read Page 151 to 156 and do Page 156 #4,5,6,7).  Students are encouraged to email me if they have any questions from the homework ahead of time (abawa@office.ldcsb.on.ca).

Below you will find a copies of the handouts/worksheets that were distributed/assigned in today’s class.

Unit 2 Test Solutions (I handed the unit 2 tests back to the students that they wrote on March 10, 2016.  The students can check their tests with these solutions and come see me if they have any questions.)
