MCV4U – March 30, 2016

PLEASE NOTE:  THERE IS A REVISED SCHOOL DAY SCHEDULE TOMORROW (MAR 31) FOR THE GRADE 10 LITERACY TEST.  I HAVE POSTED A COPY OF THE SCHEDULE BELOW.

Revised School Day Schedule for Grade 10 Literacy Test (Mar 31)

IMPORTANT NOTICE #1:  THE STUDENTS WILL BE HAVING THEIR UNIT TEST ON TUE APR 5 ON ALL OF THE CONTENT FROM MARCH 9 TO MARCH 31.

IMPORTANT NOTICE #2:  THE STUDENTS WILL BE HAVING THEIR THINKING AND INQUIRY ASSIGNMENT ON WED APR 6 ON THE CONTENT FROM MARCH 9 TO MARCH 31.

I began the class today by telling the students that I would be doing a new lesson today on derivatives of sinusoidal functions.  I then gave the students a handout titled “MCV4U – Derivatives of Sinusoidal Functions”.  I told the students that there were some things from the handout I would just be going over and that they would not have to fill anything in (I suggested they highlight important concepts).  For the examples that required students to fill things in, I put it up on the digital projector and then I went over the examples using the projector and the black board. Once we finished the lesson, I then told the students to work on the homework I assigned for today (Page 225 #1 to 4 & Page 231 #1 to 5).  Students are encouraged to email me if they have any questions from the homework ahead of time (abawa@office.ldcsb.on.ca).

Below you will find a copies of the handouts/worksheets that were distributed/assigned in today’s class.
