MCV4U – April 13, 2016

IMPORTANT NOTICE:  THE STUDENTS WILL BE HAVING AN IN-CLASS OPEN BOOK ASSIGNMENT ON THUR APR 14 COVERING ALL OF THE MATERIAL FROM APR 1 TO APR 12.  THIS WILL BE AN KNOWLEDGE & APPLICATION ASSIGNMENT.  THIS ASSIGNMENT WILL BE THE LAST ASSESSMENT BEFORE MIDTERMS.

I began the class today by telling the students that I would be moving on to vectors which is part of the next unit (Unit #5).  I will let the students know next week when their unit 4 test & thinking assignment will be which will not include the material from today’s lesson and onward.

I told the students we would be doing a lesson on trig review & geometric vectors.  I then gave the students a handout titled “MCV4U – Trig Review & Geometric Vectors”.  I told the students that there were some things from the handout I would just be going over and that they would not have to fill anything in (I suggested they highlight important concepts).  For the examples that required students to fill things in, I put it up on the digital projector and then I went over the examples using the projector and the black board. Once we finished the lesson, I then told the students to work on the homework I assigned for today (Do page 302 & 303 #5 to 10, then read pages 304 to 310 & then do page 310 & 311 #1 to 11).  Students are encouraged to email me if they have any questions from the homework ahead of time (abawa@office.ldcsb.on.ca).

Below you will find a copies of the handouts/worksheets that were distributed/assigned in today’s class.
