TEJ3M/TEJ4M – May 3, 2016

PLEASE NOTE:  THERE IS A REVISED SCHEDULE TODAY MAY 3 FOR OUR SCHOOL MASS.  I HAVE POSTED A COPY OF THE SCHEDULE BELOW.

School Mass at Holy Trinity – Revised School Day Tue May 3, 2016

I told the grade 11’s (TEJ3M) that we would be doing a lesson titled “Binary Multiplication” at the start of class today.  This was a very short lesson.  After the lesson I told the students to first work on the worksheet titled “Binary, Octal, Hexadecimal & Decimal Review Worksheet” if they did not already finish this.  Students are to hand this in once they are finished.  Once they are finished this, they can work on the worksheets I gave them yesterday titled ” Binary Addition Worksheet” and “Binary Subtraction Worksheet”.  Once the students are finished these 2 sheets, they can work on the new sheet I gave them today titled “Binary Multiplication”.

The grade 12’s (TEJ4M) are to make a race bot (dragster) which will be timed.  30 tiles have been measured in the hallway and marked off with tape.  The students will be give 3 chances to get their best time (I will time the students and take the best of 3 to be marked).  Once the students are completed this task, they are to take apart this robot and create new bot with 3 sensors (light, proximity & touch).  This new bot will have to complete the second task in which it will have to go through an obstacle course similar to the one they had to do last year for their final project.

Below you will find a copies of the handouts/worksheets that were distributed/assigned in today’s class.
